I'm flattered to be in the top 3 although I debate the validity of the ranking. And love that Prada top! And this newsletter!

Hahaha omg means the world. I am both devastated and I am having that delicious but heartbreaking experience of really missing the characters and that world. I saw you liked Skippy Dies too, I’m going to put that on my list!

The Goldfinch had me in an absolute chokehold when I read it years ago and such a good reminder to reread now in nyc!!!

Also ABOUT to finish Intermezzo and pick up the Bee Sting so I can linger in Ireland (and crazy writing) a little longer 🫶🏼

Ok one more thing — two of my favorite books of all time took me ages to finish them (The Overstory and Covenant of Water) but that just shows we relished every single word!!!!!!! Haters gonna hate xx

Okay I’m an Intermezzo apologist… are you liking it? And please report back re: Bee Sting.

I have never in my life heard of either of those books god bless you I’m bringing one home for Christmas. Need to wash the paste of Cat’s Cradle out of my mouth (hating it).

The English Understand Wool is literally a perfect specimen. & agree re holiday clothes. I have a party this week and I shall be wearing that one jolly plaid skirt that I simply cannot sit down in :)

I behave exactly the same for East of Eden. The summer after I read it, getting others to read it was my only goal in life tbqh. Utterly captivated by the simple magnitude of it.

Thanks--I've added several to my reading list. :-) (I have a friend whose favorite book is Owen Meany. And have you read The Art of Fielding? I think you'd enjoy it.)
